Grazie ai processori Intel\u00ae Xeon\u00ae CPU Max 9480 e alle ottimizzazioni di Intel\u00ae oneAPI, la JMA ha migliorato la precisione e la velocit\u00e0 delle previsioni meteorologiche, fondamentali per anticipare tifoni e precipitazioni intense.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La JMA \u00e8 l\u2019ente di riferimento in Giappone per il monitoraggio e la previsione delle condizioni meteorologiche, idrologiche e sismiche. Con l&#8217;intensificarsi dei tifoni e degli eventi meteorologici estremi, deve continuamente perfezionare i propri modelli di previsione numerica del tempo (NWP) per fornire dati affidabili alle autorit\u00e0 e alla popolazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nel 2024, la JMA ha implementato l&#8217;11\u00aa generazione di supercomputer, sviluppata da Fujitsu e dotata di processori Intel Xeon CPU Max 9480 con 64 GB di memoria ad alta larghezza di banda (HBM) per socket. Per massimizzare le prestazioni e l&#8217;efficienza delle sue simulazioni meteorologiche, l\u2019agenzia ha adottato Intel oneAPI, una piattaforma aperta e unificata che ottimizza il calcolo ad alte prestazioni (HPC) su diverse architetture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-advanced-spacer\" style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-rounded\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intel.com\/content\/www\/us\/en\/customer-spotlight\/stories\/japan-meteorological-agency-customer-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/ritme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/img-JMA-article.avif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44992\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-advanced-spacer\" style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:1.8rem\"><strong>Intel oneAPI: un&#8217;ottimizzazione essenziale per le previsioni meteorologiche<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-advanced-spacer\" style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Per sfruttare appieno queste nuove capacit\u00e0, la JMA ha integrato <a href=\"https:\/\/ritme.com\/it\/software\/intel-oneapi\/\"><mark style=\"padding:0px;background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-ritme-blue-color\"><u>Intel oneAPI<\/u><\/mark><\/a> e librerie Intel ottimizzate, migliorando l\u2019efficienza e la gestione delle risorse informatiche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grazie a oneAPI e alle ottimizzazioni dei processori Intel Xeon Max, la JMA ha ottenuto:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Migliori previsioni di tifoni e precipitazioni estreme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Riduzione dei tempi di simulazione dei modelli meteorologici.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fino all\u201980% in meno di nodi necessari per determinati carichi di lavoro.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-advanced-spacer\" style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:1.8rem\"><strong>Un impatto concreto sulla prevenzione delle catastrofi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-advanced-spacer\" style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I test condotti dalla JMA dimostrano che i nuovi supercomputer basati su Intel Xeon CPU Max hanno notevolmente accelerato e affinato le previsioni meteorologiche. L\u2019integrazione di oneAPI e della memoria HBM garantisce un\u2019elaborazione pi\u00f9 efficiente di grandi volumi di dati meteorologici, fondamentali per la previsione numerica del
